Polgwedhen Lodge
Walking and Cycling
Walking:
Cornwall offers endless opportunities to both the stroller and the more serious hiker.
The South West coastal path runs all around Cornwall, an unforgettable way to see the coast, and you can join it at any point. Enjoy bracing fresh air, unforgettable views, space and a sense of freedom.
Inland, there is a myriad of footpaths which take you across countryside, through pretty villages, out onto the moors and by quiet rivers.
From wild hilltop tors and moorland to the temperate rainforest (yes, really!), and creeks of the Roseland Peninsula, there is something for every one.

The birdwatcher and nature enthusiast will not be disappointed on the coast or in the countryside.

Cycling:

Polgwedhen Lodge is a only a short cycle ride to the Bissoe Cycle Trail , a coast to coast route running from the lovely creekside village of Devoran to Portreath on the Atlantic coast. The route is mostly off-road, following an old railway track and some quiet lanes. Most importantly, there are pubs and café stops along the way!
Closest point of access from Polgwedhen Lodge is at Twelveheads:
